Hi glad I found your website I lived in Penn from 1947 until 1968 my mothers name was Nellie Chilton wthey were an old Penn and Tylers Green family I have quite a few old phots of events and places in Penn

I lived in Nursery Lane, Tylers Green from the late 1930's to approx 1944 with my parents and sisters June and Marjorie. I have fond memories of the common covered in fern, the school I went to and as I got older, the village hall dances.
I visited there yesterday and would love to know anyone who remembers me or my family. Names I remember Joan Long, Margaret Trendall, Florrie Thatcher and Ben White.

Im new to this but my g grandparents had the Rose Bush pub now gone in Penn surname Walker any memories

A direct ancestor of mine, Robert Redrup or Redroppe, was apparently vicar of Penn Church from 1596 to about 1607. I would be grateful if this could be confirmed.

My husband is doing research on William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania. We're interested in visiting Penn and possibly Jordan in July, and wonder if there is public transportation that would get us from London to Penn and back to London the same day. Salut, I was a Tylers Greensian from circa 1966 to the early 90's before emigrating to Sands, High Wycombe for a couple of years & then to Geneva, Switzerland for the last 16. I regularly look in on this site as now I am knocking on a bit, get a tad maudlin for the old days. Therefore my request is to you all who live there, please, please get the photo gallery seriously updated with any old and indeed new photo's.

Hello, I am currently researching my family history back through the eight great grand parents and have come across a marriage into the Wright family of a former publican of the Rose Bush public house in Tylers Green in 1918. The Publican's name was Thomas Shepherd Standage who was also described as a baker on the 1911 census. I can't trace the Rose Bush as being a current establishment and would welcome any feedback on whether the building still exists and if there are any photographs available. In addition, any further information about any members of the Wright and Standage families would be greatly appreciated.

I lived in Tyler's Green when I was 4 years old (25 yrs ago) and am trying to find the house I used to live in on Google Earth. I don't remember the street name but the house name was called "Wrenswood" and it was on a Lane NW of the Pond. If anyone has any information to help me that would be great!
